Devin White in Even More Trouble With Eagles After New Slip-Up

The veteran linebacker retweeted and then deleted a tweet regarding his former team on Sunday.

One of the more puzzling storylines to start the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2024 season has been the disappearance of Devin White. The veteran linebacker hasn’t appeared in a game yet after he signed a one-year, (insert money) in the offseason.

White did not play in Weeks 1 and 2 because of an ankle injury and then was listed as a healthy scratch in Week 3. But then things took another interesting turn on Sunday as White was out for personal reasons.

The veteran linebacker would’ve loved to be on the field against his former team in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Instead, White was on social media during the game and retweeted a tweet about Lavonte David’s forced fumble.

However, Greg Auman of FOX Sports highlighted that White deleted the tweet, which caused the Eagles linebacker to respond. White said to Auman he only meant to like it and that’s his twin for life. White also added the tweet is in his favorites.

Clearly, this wasn’t a good look for White. However, you cannot blame him for how he feels as he’s yet to play this season.

The linebacker was signed to compete for the starting linebacker job against Nakobe Dean, who won the starting job. However, with his inability to play special teams, head coach Nick Sirianni and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio believe White is better off being inactive.

That said, one has to wonder if things will change for White after the bye week as he likely didn’t expect this after how things ended with the Buccaneers. Philadelphia will take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 6. Maybe there’s a chance White sees the field after missing the first four games.
