Date of Eagles vs. Rams Game Possibly Leaked Before Schedule Release
By Jovan Alford
When the 2023 regular season ended, we had an idea of the Philadelphia Eagles’ home and road opponents.
We won’t know when the Eagles will play those teams until Wednesday night when the league officially releases the 2024 schedule. Last month, it was announced that the Eagles will play the Green Bay Packers in Brazil for Week 1.
However, we might have an idea about another game for the Eagles in 2024 as fans may want to get ready for a west coast trip. Dave Malandra Jr. reported on Saturday that FOX wants to have the Eagles-Rams on the same weekend as Penn State-USC.
Malandra adds that Penn State-USC is on October 12, setting up Eagles-Rams potentially for Oct. 13.
It wouldn’t be surprising to see FOX angling to have both games, especially with USC now in the Big Ten and Penn State making the trip out west. There’s also a Penn State connection as the Eagles have star running back Saquon Barkley.
The Eagles played the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium in Week 5 (Oct. 5) last year, winning 23-14.
One would believe that Eagles fans would make the trip out west to Los Angeles in the fall to support their team. At the same time, Eagles-Rams could be one of the best games of that week as both teams are contenders in the NFC and have a lot of star power on the offensive side of the ball.
