Cooper DeJean Already Had Hilarious Moment With Eagles' Big Dom
By Cem Yolbulan
Eagles fans are undeniably excited about their new rookie defenders Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell. The two future stars will play a huge role in trying to bring the Eagles' defense back to respectability after being the first two rookies selected by general manager Howie Roseman in the 2024 NFL Draft.
DeJean and Mitchell are quickly becoming fan favorites in Philadelphia. They are already making the rounds in Philadelphia, getting themselves acquainted with the city. As part of that plan, they went to a Sixers home game against the Knicks last week.
There, they found out the hard way that regardless of how popular they are as new Eagles, they will never be more beloved than Big Dom.
Eagles Rookies Already Have A Hilarious Big Dom Story
On an episode of the Up And Adams Show, DeJean revealed the hilarious story of what transpired in the Sixers game he went. The former Iowa standout said that fans were asking him and Mitchell to take their photo with Big Dom instead.
Dom has been a huge presence for the Eagles for decades. He has played a big role in various aspects of the team, most notably as a security officer and advisor to the general manager.
His popularity went to new heights during the 2023 season when he was involved in a controversy with the 49ers defender Dre Greenlaw. In the Week 13 matchup between the Eagles and the 49ers, Big Dom was ejected after he stepped in when Greenlaw slammed Devonta Smith to the ground. He was later banned from the sidelines for the rest of the regular season.
Big Dom will continue to have the back of all Eagles players, including Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell. What the rookies have to understand, however, is that they have to prove themselves before they receive the same kind of love Dom receives in the city of brotherly love.
