Bryce Harper Makes Big Announcement Right Before Opening Day

As we approach Opening Day, Phillies fans are counting down the hours until they see their team as they hope to get back to the World Series. One Phillies player, however, will have bigger things to look forward to in 2024.

Phillies fan favorite Bryce Harper and his wife Kayla just announced that they are expecting their third baby. In an Instagram post, the couple released photos of the sonogram.

The 31-year-old first baseman couldn't contain his excitement about the announcement, as he captioned it "3 for 3".

Phillies fans are hoping that this provides extra motivation to their star slugger who missed significant parts of the last two seasons to unfortunate injuries. In his last fully healthy season, Harper won the NL MVP award in 2021 with .309/.429/.615 batting splits.

Philadelphia needs Harper to get back to his MVP form to wash the bad taste of the NLCS from its mouth, and also compete with the Los Angeles Dodgers who built a juggernaut over the winter.
