Anyone hoping for a reunion between Boston Scott and the Philadelphia Eagles will be disappointed by the latest news regarding the veteran RB.

One area of the Philadelphia Eagles' roster that's undergone major changes this offseason is at running back. Not only did the team say goodbye to 2023 Pro Bowler D'Andre Swift and replace him with once-rival Saquon Barkley, but they also drafted Clemson standout Will Shipley in the fourth round.

The selection of Shipley was clearly Philly's way of addressing its running back depth, which was lacking after not re-signing Rashaad Penny and Boston Scott.

With the Eagles seemingly moving on, it appears so has Scott.

According to multiple reports Tuesday evening, Scott is headed to Los Angeles. He's set to sign a one-year deal with the Rams following the draft this past weekend.

This officially puts any reunion hopes to bed, at least for 2024. It wouldn't have been a surprise if Scott and the Eagles eventually sought each other out later this offseason, especially given the RB's skills in the return game and the league's new kickoff return rules.

Yet, Scott remaining on the market this long and Philadelphia showing no real interest in a return opened the door for the veteran to find a new home.

Now Scott is moving on to the west coast after racking up 17 total touchdowns across 75 appearances for the Eagles. His penchant for being a New York Giants killer -- 422 yards, 10 TDs in 10 career matchups -- will certainly be missed in Philly.
