A.J. Brown Drops Hammer On Trolls Over Ridiculous Social Media Controversy
We are only in April and the NFL season officially ended in February. Fans are clamoring for some news surrounding their squad and anything a player on their team does will sound the alarm.
That is the case with Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown. Brown changed both his Twitter and Instagram profile pictures to Tom Brady. Fans then caught him following Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett and WR Kendrick Bourne.
This created some noise on social media among Eagles fans and Brown addressed it with a tweet.
Eagles News: A.J. Brown Address Bizarre Social Media Noise
"TB12 is my favorite player ever. I watch the dynasty and it brought back some memories from my childhood," Brown wrote in his tweet. "Go look up what he did in 2015 when he was doubted/ disrespected. Yeah I see the disrespect. Motivated … yes. That’s it. I Did not think changing my pfp [profile picture] to the greatest QB ever would cause controversy. Take Care."
Brown has made it known that he was a Patriots fan growing up and even voiced how upset he was when New England didn't draft him in 2019.
The former Ole Miss standout also responded to someone on Twitter saying he should have known this would have ruffled some feathers.
Brown responded, "I don’t live by the world rules. He’s retired and is the best person to touch a football. It’s not that serious."
The 26-year-old is right. It's his account and he can post what he wants but that doesn't mean the Eagles' passionate fanbase won't have something to say about it.
