How about a reunion for the Eagles in free agency?

Halapoulivaati Vaitai once signed one of the more surprising free agent contracts in recent memory when the Philadelphia Eagles gave him a five-year deal worth $50 million back in 2020. But it quickly was proven that their faith in him was not misplaced.

Vaitai was a brick wall at the guard position for the Lions for a couple of seasons, but he missed time in 2023 and was limited to appearances in just six games with three starts. Not only that, but he didn't play at all in the 2022 season.

Although there is obviously an extensive (recent) injury history here, the Eagles could benefit by adding Vaitai to their offensive line group. Anytime you lose a player like Jason Kelce, you're going to have to "replace" him with a buffet of options. It might not just be next man up in every scenario. The Eagles need to make sure they at least get some insurance on the interior offensive line as they reshuffle the deck, and if he's healthy, Vaitai could start for them at right guard.

In a worst-case scenario, the Eagles' young guys all pan out, and Vaitai is there as a swing option for both guard and tackle.
