Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman came into the 2024 offseason with a bad taste in his mouth. Already known for being one of the most aggressive executives in the league, you had to expect Roseman was going to be on another level after watching a 10-1 record end in a first-round playoff defeat at the hands of the Buccaneers.

And the Eagles have been exactly that. They've been aggressive all offseason, bringing in the likes of Saquon Barkley, CJ Gardner-Johnson, Bryce Huff, and Devin White. They have slowly but surely been replenishing the talent on the roster and making upgrades, but there are still some more moves yet to be made.

Even with the 2024 NFL Draft looming, where could the Eagles look next in NFL free agency?

1. CJ Henderson, CB

The Eagles brought in former Denver Broncos head coach and, more recently, Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Fangio was brought in to help revive a defense that was in shambles last year under Sean Desai and Matt Patricia.

Not only was Fangio brought in, but he brought Denver Broncos defensive backs coach Christian Parker with him. The combination of Fangio and Parker should give the Eagles confidence that they can take on a reclamation project like CJ Henderson, the former first-round pick out of Florida.

Henderson was traded by the Jaguars and wound up starting the past couple of years in Carolina. His combination of talent, athleticism, and upside should make him a no-brainer for many teams but the Eagles really need to take a shot like this at the cornerback position. He's still only 25 years old and would be worth the risk on a short-term deal.
