6 Free Agents the Eagles Should Sign Before Mandatory Minicamp
The Philadelphia Eagles are always going to be one of the most aggressive teams in the NFL under general manager Howie Roseman when it comes to pursuing roster upgrades. And as we enter the month of June and mandatory minicamp draws near, there are still roster upgrades to be had via NFL free agency.
What players are out there that could still help the Philadelphia Eagles?
With nearly $27 million in available cap space, the Eagles could still be very active on the free agent/trade market. Let's take a look at a few names that could be of interest.
6 Free Agents the Eagles Should Target
1. Michael Thomas, WR
How about the idea of the Philadelphia Eagles going after former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas?
It feels like the Eagles have been one of those teams willing to take all comers at the wide receiver position. They have brought in the likes of Julio Jones and DeVante Parker in recent years. They are clearly not opposed to taking on big names or taking risks on guys who may be past their prime.
Michael Thomas seems to fit the bill quite well. Thomas was once one of the most dominant receivers in the league and perhaps the Eagles would view him as a great value at this stage of the offseason. He played pretty well in the games he was actually available for last year and could give this Eagles team some necessary veteran depth at a key position.
