2. Stephon Gilmore, CB

The Eagles know how good Stephon Gilmore can be when he catches fire.

Despite being 33 years of age last season, Gilmore held his own when matched up against either A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith. He was even able to help keep the star wideouts from getting into the end zone in the 33-13 loss in Week 14.

Gilmore was supposed to be the No. 2 corner for Dallas but found himself lining up against the top receiver each week when Trevon Diggs suffered a torn ACL before their third game of the season. DaRon Bland got all the attention since he was running back pick-sixes but Gilmore still delivered with 68 tackles, 13 pass defenses, and two picks.

The Eagles still have Darius Slay and James Bradberry but Bradberry was a major problem in 2023. Perhaps the move to Vic Fangio from Sean Desai will help but if it doesn’t, Philadelphia will have to turn to some inexperienced players for help.

Instead of hoping for the best, they should take advantage of the Cowboys’ unbelievable cheapness and lure Gilmore to their side of the NFC East. Adding him could give them three experienced and savvy veterans and might be exactly what Bradberry needs to be pushed out of his slump.
