The Philadelphia Eagles just missed out on winning the NFC East in 2023 but should be the favorites this year. Head coach Nick Sirianni replaced both coordinators as he aims to get the team back on track. They also made a few key additions including the signing of running back Saquon Barkley and defensive end Bryce Huff.

They’ve also watched their top rival do nothing to improve their chances. The Dallas Cowboys lost their top running back, two key pass rushers, their left tackle, and starting center. All while signing almost no one.

While this has Philly in a good spot, they should remain aggressive. That’s why adding these six free agents before the NFL Draft would be advisable.

6. Andrus Peat, G

With Jason Kelce riding off into the sunset, Cam Jurgens will slide over to the center position. The former second-round selection was brought in to eventually replace Kelce and was starting at right guard in 2023. With him moving, Tyler Steen is set to take over his vacated spot but isn’t guaranteed to hold the job down.

A converted tackle, Steen played just 71 snaps last year and had his share of struggles — especially in pass protection according to Pro Football Focus. That’s why the Eagles should bring in a veteran with starting experience to challenge for the job.

One available free agent is Andrus Peat, a former first-round pick for the New Orleans Saints. While Peat might have never lived up to his status as the 13th overall pick, he does have 102 starts under his belt — and at this stage of free agency, he could likely be added on the veteran minimum.
