4. Eli Ricks, Cornerback

After spending two years at LSU, Eli Ricks transferred to Alabama for his final collegiate season. He went toe-to-toe with some of the best receivers in the SEC but still went undrafted last year. While he had the resume and the size (6-foot-2, 188 pounds), Ricks saw his stock drop due to a 4.6 time in the 40-yard dash. There were also concerns due to his lack of starting experience and missed time due to injuries in 2022.

The Eagles were willing to roll the dice and landed him as a free agent. Ricks showed enough to make the 53-man roster and played in 16 games as a rookie. In 301 defensive snaps, he had 19 tackles and three pass defenses, proving he has potential.

Now entering his second season in the league, Ricks has much more competition around him. The Eagles not only re-signed Avonte Maddox after initially releasing him in the offseason, but also selected Quinyon Mitchell from Toledo in Round 1 and Cooper DeJean from Iowa in Round 2.

One factor that helps him is the potential move from cornerback to safety for James Bradberry.
