4. Tarron Jackson, EDGE

A sixth-round pick in 2021, Tarron Jackson had 18 tackles and a sack as a rookie with Philadelphia. He appeared in just four games in 2022 before being waived and re-signed to the practice squad. His third season was spent entirely on the squad, meaning he could be nearing his final chance with the franchise.

It wasn't going to be easy for him to earn a spot entering training camp. Josh Sweat and Bryce Huff are their starting pass-rushing outside linebackers. Veteran Brandon Graham is back and 2023 first-round pick Nolan Smith is there as well. To make it more difficult, they selected Jalyx Hunt in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Jackson could still find a way onto the roster if he proved to be a solid special teams player. While he was a member of that unit at times during his rookie season, his chances there are also gone thanks to Patrick Johnson.

Also listed as an outside linebacker, Johnson was taken one round after Jackson and throughout the first three seasons of his career, he's been relatively quiet. Johnson has 35 tackles in 48 games while primarily playing on special teams.

This offseason, however, he's made a name for himself. He's been a strong performer in training camp and caused the fumble that set up the game-winning kick from Jake Elliott in Week 1 of the preseason. Against New England, he had four tackles and a sack as he continues to impress.
