A 10-1 start for the Philadelphia Eagles turned into an 11-6 campaign in 2023. They lost three in a row following huge wins over the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills. Once they established themselves as contenders by knocking off some of the top teams in the league, they fell apart.

The only win for Philly down the stretch was against the New York Giants. They then lost in the first round of the playoffs, being sent home by Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Heading into 2024, they're looking to recapture their magic from the first 11 games last year. They're hopeful some changes to the roster and staff will help them rebound. Overall, they did have a good offseason and their roster is much better. The depth they built is why these six players could be released before taking a regular-season snap with the Eagles.

6. Anim Dankwah, Offensive Tackle

The Eagles have two stars to bookend their offensive line with Jordan Mailata at left tackle and Lane Johnson on the right side. They also have some backups capable of filling in with Fred Johnson and Darian Kinnard under contract. Throw in Mekhi Becton as a wild card and it makes it really hard to see Anim Dankwah making the 53-man roster.

Dankwah is a product of Howard University and signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in the offseason. He looks the part at 6-foot-7 and 330 pounds but needs to prove he can hang with elite talent. In the end, his best path to an NFL career will be through the practice squad, meaning he could be exposed to waivers before the season starts.
