How is the secondary depth chart going to shake out for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2024 offseason?

This is a development the entire fan base is going to be monitoring closely as the Eagles obviously had to overhaul this entire position group in the 2024 offseason. And the overhaul isn't just going to be happening with guys the Eagles drafted in the first two rounds (Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean).

We are seeing some strong competition across the board from guys who were already on this Eagles roster before and other players the team has added recently, which includes Isaiah Rodgers, an intriguing offseason pickup who is absolutely in the mix to start at outside corner.

From NBC Sports Philadelphia:

"The Eagles began today with Kelee Ringo as the starting corner opposite Slay but eventually worked in Isaiah Rodgers. Those two seem to be the top candidates for that job right now. A little later, Eli Ricks got some rare first-team reps."

In terms of being on thin ice, it seems like you could put both Kelee Ringo and Eli Ricks on there for the Eagles. We already talked about James Bradberry, who isn't even in the mix after giving up a whopping 11 touchdown catches into his coverage last year. But both Eli Ricks and Kelee Ringo have to be considered on thin ice since Ricks played over 300 defensive snaps last year and Ringo played nearly 200.

The guy who is forcing them on thin ice is the aforementioned Isaiah Rodgers, who started nine games for the Colts in 2022 before facing a suspension for the entire 2023 season. Rodgers allowed just 58.6 percent of throws into his coverage to be completed in 2022 and had three interceptions in 2021. Prior to his suspension, he was a bit of an ascending player who could potentially find at least a temporary home in Philadelphia.
