5. Donte Jackson, CB, Panthers

We know the Philadelphia Eagles are in the market for some secondary help because they went out and signed veteran Bradley Roby to help with their depth there. They obviously have some really good starting corners in veterans James Bradberry and Darius Slay, but if there is a chance to upgrade in the slot, we might see Howie Roseman take it.

Donte Jackson could be available for the right price even though the Panthers have also struggled this season with injuries at the cornerback position. This is a Panthers team that is 0-6 and might need to start recouping some draft capital for guys who won't be in their plans beyond this season.

The Panthers might be able to get a decent draft pick for Jackson, who signed a three-year deal in the 2022 offseason. The Panthers bought into Jackson as their nickel corner for the future and structured his deal so that the majority of his guaranteed cash was already paid out by the end of the 2023 season.

They already converted a large chunk of Jackson's 2023 salary to a signing bonus, so he would be really cheap for the Eagles to acquire this year with basically a contract option for the 2023 season.

As much as the Eagles secondary has already been assembled by making trades, you kind of have to figure, why stop here?
