5 Eagles Who Could Retire This Offseason
By Cem Yolbulan
There will certainly be plenty of changes in Philadelphia in the offseason following the Eagles' embarrassing collapse in the second half of the season and the playoffs. This will include the coaching staff as well as the players.
On top of key upcoming decisions regarding coaching hires, the draft and free agency, the Eagles are facing the potential retirements of several of their core contributors.
With that in mind, here are the aging members of the team who could hang 'em up this offseason.
Jason Kelce
The initial reports out of Philadelphia were certain that Jason Kelce was going to be calling it a career. However, that news may have been premature.
Now it seems like Kelce's future with the Eagles is also uncertain. Still, his comments on Wednesday appear to hint at the end of the Core Four, which includes him, Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, and Lane Johnson.
It's worth noting, though, Graham already said he wants to have a "farewell tour", and Johnson revealed that he has a few more years left. For now, they seem far likelier to stay than not.
Yet if this Kelce story is any indication, we need to take anything that was said immediately after an emotional season and a devastating loss with a grain of salt.
