5 Eagles Leaving Philadelphia in the New Year
3. Quez Watkins, WR
Jones isn't the only Eagles WR who'll likely be departing in 2024.
A lot of fans wouldn't be surprised if Watkins heads to a new destination, too. After a solid sophomore campaign in 2021, the ex-Souther Miss product has been trending in the wrong direction. He finished the 2022 season with 33 catches for 354 receiving yards and three TDs and has been even worse this season, tallying a 7-49-0 stat line through his first 10 games (7 starts).
Despite being one of the fastest Eagles, Watkins just isn't that trusted of a target. He carries a 41.2 passer rating when targeted, which is nearly half of what it was last season (80.0). For reference, a quarterback who throws nothing but incompletions into the ground would have a 39.6 passer rating, highlighting just how bad the 25-year-old has been.
After showing zero signs of improvement, it's time for the Eagles to cut their losses when Watkins hits free agency this offseason.
