Eagles Stud: Dallas Goedert, Tight End
With A.J. Brown on one side and DeVonta Smith on the other, the Eagles wideouts get the majority of the attention. That continued when they decided to bring in Julio Jones this week, who might not be the player he once was, but is still a well-known commodity.
Then, there's Dallas Goedert. The sixth-year tight end from South Dakota State doesn't get the spotlight but he does deliver whenever called upon. In Week 7, that happened early and often.
On the opening drive, he caught two passes in a row, each going for 22 yards. He was able to get the offense into the red zone, where they settled for a field goal after falling short on three run plays in a row.
Early in the second quarter, they were back in the red zone and this time, they decided to target Goedert and, once again, he got the job done. Goedert took a short pass from Jalen Hurts and made a quick move to get into the end zone and put his team on top 10-3.
Goedert came up big again in the third quarter on a third-and-seven right after the game was tied by a pick-six. Looking to take the lead back, Goedert once again moved them into scoring range with a 14-yard reception down to the 10. The very next play was a touchdown for A.J. Brown, but Goedert made that one happen.
He finished with 77 yards on five receptions, which was just another day at the office for No. 88.
