These four former Philadelphia Eagles players are still unemployed as the 2024 NFL season reaches Week 2. Will any of them find a job soon?

2. C.J. Uzomah, TE

Did you forget that C.J. Uzomah was signed by the Eagles this offseason? Because chances are that if you blinked, you probably missed his uneventful tenure.

The Eagles signed the veteran tight end to a one-year contract in April after he spent the last two seasons with the New York Jets. Unfortunately, Uzomah didn't do much to impress the Philadelphia coaching staff throughout training camp, resulting in his cut in the middle of August as Grant Calcaterra further cemented himself as the TE2.

Uzomah was once a solid starting TE, however — much like Leonard — he's long past his prime. That fact was solidified by the former Auburn Tiger only recording 58 receiving yards and a touchdown on eight catches across 12 games with the Jets last season. That's a far cry from the 49-493-5 stat line he posted in 2021.

Uzomah is still someone who could fill in as the TE3/4 on a team that's thin at the position. Having said that, if he expects to be any more than that, he likely won't be joining a new team soon.
