4 Eagles Who Need More Playing Time to Win the Super Bowl

2. Julio Jones
Philadelphia has struggled to find a competent WR3 all season. Quez Watkins has generally underwhelmed in the role and Olamide Zaccheaus doesn’t seem to have the trust of the coaching staff, despite his impressive 16.4 yards per reception.
Given the uncertainty surrounding the injury statuses of AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, the Eagles desperately need to find another weapon in the passing game if they want to make a deep postseason run.
That weapon could easily be in-season acquisition Julio Jones. Ever since Jones became a part of the rotation in Week 7, it has been WR3 by committee for the Eagles. However, the future Hall-of-Famer made a strong case against the Arizona Cardinals two weeks ago for why he has to play the most out of the trio. Not only did Jones play more snaps than both Zaccheaus and Watkins against the Cardinals, but he also had his first two-touchdown game of the season.
Perhaps he can carry that momentum into the postseason. He is a gifted player with plenty of big-game experience. He has done it in the playoffs before.
Yes, he is older, slower, and not what he once was. But he is still Julio Jones, and the Eagles should feel much more comfortable with him than their other options.
