3. Sixers Have to be Better With the Little Things

The Sixers had a chance to tie the series up at 1-1 on Monday night but failed to do the little things when it mattered the most.

Philadelphia struggled down the stretch at the free-throw line, shooting 72.7 percent (16-22), a far cry from what they did in the regular season (82.6 percent – second-best in the NBA).

The Sixers also failed to box out late, leading to DiVincenzo's game-winning three at the top of the key as Philly scrambled to get back on defense. However, Philly won the loose ball battle (7-3) in Game 2, but it didn’t matter when everything was on the line.

For Philadelphia to stave off a 3-0 deficit, they don’t have to play perfectly, but they must compete for 48 minutes, which they did for the most in Game 2.

When the Sixers get to the free-throw line, they must make their attempts. Philly also needs to box out and not give up free looks from the three-point line. If Nurse’s crew can do everything we discussed in this story, they have a chance to extend this series.
