3. Tyrion Davis-Price, RB

The Philadelphia Eagles made a pretty unpopular move when they signed running back Tyrion Davis-Price.

Well, to be clear, the unpopular aspect of the signing of Tyrion Davis price was the jersey number he chose.

The way Eagles fans responded to the announcement of Davis-Price taking the jersey number previously held by running back Boston Scott proves that the former third-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers is on thin ice, at least with the fan base.

But the Eagles also went and snagged former Clemson running back Will Shipley in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Shipley racked up over 3,300 total yards from scrimmage at Clemson and proved himself to be a versatile three-down threat.

The addition of Saquon Barkley in free agency buries everyone on this Eagles depth chart at running back by default, but with Kenneth Gainwell still on the roster and Shipley coming in through the NFL Draft, it's not looking great for Davis-Price, the former LSU star, to potentially scrape and claw his way onto this Philadelphia roster.

He's going to need a monster training camp and a phenomenal preseason, utilizing his time with the Eagles as an audition for 31 other NFL teams. as well. Regardless of the fan response, Davis-Price will have a shot to prove himself all throughout the offseason and we need to see that explosiveness that made him so special at LSU.
