3. Britain Covey

Finally, we must show some love to second-year wide receiver and punt returner Britain Covey. After a less-than-stellar rookie season, many Eagles fans wondered if the team would go in a different direction this season.

To the Eagles’ credit, they decided to keep Covey around, elevating him from the practice squad, and he started to make plays in the punt return game.

The former Utah wideout didn’t have any punt return touchdowns this season. But Philly fans remember his 54-yard return against the Giants on Christmas, which helped the tone for that game.

Ultimately, Covey led the league in punt return yards (417) this season and was ranked second in yards per punt return (14.4) behind Los Angeles Chargers rookie wide receiver Derius Davis. Eagles fans should be excited to see what Covey can do in 2024 under the direction of special teams coordinator Michael Clay for another season.
