3. Carolina Panthers (Week 14)

You might be thinking to yourself – the Eagles losing to the Carolina Panthers in December at the Linc doesn’t seem possible.

However, remember last season, Philadelphia lost to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17 after escaping with an eight-point win over the New York Giants on Christmas.

All the good holiday vibes were done after Philadelphia lost to an Arizona team looking towards the offseason and playing for draft position. The scenario could play out this season in Week 14 against the Panthers, who were 2-15 last season.

The Panthers should be better this season under new head coach Dave Canales, but this is the perfect letdown spot for the Eagles. Before Philadelphia plays Carolina, they will have two tough road games in consecutive weeks against the Rams and Ravens.

That is not an easy stretch, especially when there’s no bye week in sight. If the Eagles can split both games entering Week 14, it could be a nice rebound spot. However, if Philadelphia doesn’t come to play and allows Carolina to control the tempo, the Eagles could be on upset alert.

A loss to Carolina in Week 14 wouldn’t be ideal, especially after playing the Rams and Ravens in consecutive weeks. However, it could damage the Eagles’ playoff hopes in the NFC as their final four games of the season are against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants.

The only potential saving grace for the Eagles is three out of those four games are at home.
