Talen Horton-Tucker

He is a different player than Lonnie Walker but the case for Talen Horton-Tucker is a similar one. The Sixers need more dynamism with the ball and Horton-Tucker can provide that in a limited role.

The 23-year-old combo guard was a promising young player in his first few seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. However, his three-point shot and finishing never improved enough to make him a reliable offensive threat. His last two seasons with the Utah Jazz have been disappointing as he was one of the least efficient players in the entire league.

Surrounded by elite players and great shooting, however, Horton-Tucker could look much better. He can handle the ball well, run the pick-and-roll, and attack the basket. He can be a tough fit as a 6-foot-4 guard who can't shoot, but that's a challenge Nick Nurse can handle. Horton-Tucker's defensive intensity, length, strength, and athleticism can add another wrinkle to this already-talented Sixers roster.

Chuma Okeke

Another young-ish player with good physical tools who has been disappointing in the last two seasons is Chuma Okeke. Drafted by the Orlando Magic in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft, the former Auburn standout hasn't been able to establish his NBA career yet. In the deep and loaded Magic team, he lost his rotation spot last year, and having hit free agency this summer, he therefore doesn't have much of a market.

However, Okeke would be a decent flyer as a reclamation project. At 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, he has great positional size. He can play both forward positions and has solid athleticism and wingspan. Although inconsistent, he has shown flashes of a shooting ability. Athletic, do-it-all forwards are hard to come by in the NBA, and the Sixers shouldn't miss the opportunity to give a second chance to a 25-year-old with two-way potential.
