The Philadelphia 76ers have been smacked with a massive injury and it's to their best player. Joel Embiid tore his meniscus and the timeline for his return has been to be determined. With 35 games left in the regular season for Philadelphia, there is a lot of action left.

The 76ers will certainly need to take a group approach to help fill in while Embiid is sidelined. The hope is to stay afloat over the next few weeks but they certainly need to make some additions to the frontcourt.

Here are three free-agent targets for the 76ers to look at potentially adding.

1. Nerlens Noel

Noel isn't the same defender he was early on in his career, but he is still effective in that area. The 29-year-old was selected with the No. 6 overall pick by the New Orleans Pelicans before getting traded to the 76ers.

The Kentucky product was in Philadelphia from 2014-2017 and was a nice contributor. Noel is a solid rim protector and uses his instincts to be active around the rim. He still owns the athleticism to finish around the basket on dunks and putbacks.

He's averaged at least one block and one steal in six seasons in his career. Noel's impact would be more on the defensive end but that would be perfect. Philadelphia has the likes of Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris to carry the load offensively.

It's not easy to replace an MVP player but Noel would help mitigate the loss in the lane.
