2. Olamide Zaccheaus, Wide Receiver, Washington Commanders

There was a time when wide receiver Olamide Zaccheaus appeared to be a blossoming star in the NFL.

In 2019, he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Atlanta Falcons. As a rookie, the Virginia product had 115 yards and a touchdown on just three catches. That earned him more time going forward as he had 274 yards in year two followed by 406 yards and three touchdowns in 2021 on 31 receptions. Atlanta brought him back for one more year after restricted free agency and he had his best campaign in 2022.

That year, Zaccheaus recorded 533 yards and three touchdowns on 40 receptions. This led to a one-year contract with the Eagles in free agency. Expected to be the third wide receiver, Zaccheaus had a season to forget. Despite a lack of depth behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, he still had just 164 yards on 10 receptions. Naturally, this led to his departure in the offseason.

Zaccheaus found a new home with the Washington Commanders under Dan Quinn. The two have ties to one another as Quinn was the head coach in Atlanta when the wide receiver was signed. After one game, however, there wasn't much to get exctied about.

The 27-year-old had 26 snaps on offense and finished with one reception on three targets. He did pick up 15 yards but overall wasn't effective. Washington was defeated easily by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and might be in for a long season.
