3. Nakobe Dean, LB

The Philadelphia Eagles struggled with injuries and poor play at the linebacker position last season, and we've already seen them take some steps toward overhauling that position group in 2024.

They brought in Zack Baun, a free agent who mostly plays special teams, from the New Orleans Saints. They also took a shot in NFL free agency on former Packers third-round pick Oren Burks, who had somewhat of a breakout campaign in 2023 with the San Francisco 49ers as a rotational player.

The biggest move the Eagles made at linebacker so far, however, was adding former first-round pick Devin White of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They signed White to a low-risk deal in NFL free agency, but Vic Fangio's work is not likely done at the linebacker position.

The Eagles are almost undoubtedly going to prioritize a starting-caliber linebacker in the 2024 NFL Draft where they have three selections in the first two rounds. If that ends up being the case, then I could see them trading away Nakobe Dean to the highest bidder.

Dean fell to the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft after getting some first-round hype, and the Eagles felt like they had an absolute steal on their hands. He could still be a factor at the position this year, but with uncertainty over his health and availability, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see a team try and trade for the final two years of his deal, and the Eagles possibly oblige if the offer is right and they get a linebacker they want in the first two days of the Draft.
