3 Eagles Who Could Be Traded During NFL Draft
Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman operates with a level of fearlessness and confidence that has to be respected, no matter what team you root for. The Eagles refuse to sit on their hands when it comes to reloading the roster, and they've been making some huge moves already in the 2024 offseason.
Not only did Philadelphia poach defensive coordinator Vic Fangio away from the Miami Dolphins, but they poached running back Saquon Barkley away from their rivals in New York and they just recently traded Haason Reddick to the New York Jets.
When you look at this Eagles roster, there don't appear to be many players that could still be realistically traded, but don't put it past Roseman to send some shockwaves through the NFL world with some moves. What players, maybe some big surprises, could be traded by the Eagles during the 2024 NFL Draft?
1. Tanner McKee, QB
The Philadelphia Eagles have been busy this offseason resetting at the quarterback position behind starter Jalen Hurts.
They added Will Grier in NFL free agency on a one-year deal and they also traded for former Pittsburgh Steelers first-round pick Kenny Pickett. Where does that leave 2023 sixth-rounder Tanner McKee?
As of right now, it looks like he might be out of a job. The Eagles haven't exactly put the biggest vote of confidence in McKee to be a second or even third quarterback on their roster this year, but there might still be teams willing to take him on and give him a look on their 90-man roster. With three years of team control and some scouts and executives around the league possibly having had interest in him just a year ago, McKee might be able to be flipped for a late-round pick swap during the 2024 NFL Draft.
