2. A Deal With the Seahawks

PHI-SEA

Let's say the Eagles have their eye on someone in the second half of the first round, but they're not sure they'll remain on the board until No. 22. Given what we know about Howie Roseman, it'd be no surprise if moves up just a few spots to ensure he gets his man.

In that case, the Seattle Seahawks are a possible franchise to call about a deal.

Seattle's draft capital is healthy with seven picks currently in its war chest, but they're not evenly spread out. The Seahawks have multiple selections in rounds 4 and 6, but zero in the second (or fifth).

Considering the amount of starters, and even Hall of Famers, that have been picked throughout the years in Round 2, not having a selection here is a big missed opportunity. That's especially so for a hopeful contender that could benefit from starting-level talent on below-average rookie contracts.

So this opens an opportunity for both Philly and Seattle to help themselves in a trade. The Eagles could offer up No. 22 (780 points) and No. 53 (370 points) for No. 16 (1000 points) and No. 102 (92 points).

Is Philadelphia giving up a little more here on the value chart? Sure, but this is also a situation where Roseman is desperate to snag a prospect he's not confident will stick around for much longer. Here he can prevent any curveballs by utilizing one of his two second-rounders while leaving No. 50 in his back pocket.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks get a second-rounder for just moving back six spots and throwing in the higher of their two fourths. That's a savvy move to immediately improve their draft capital during the event.
