DE Bryce Huff

Another Eagles' offseason addition that didn't pan out so far is edge defender Bryce Huff. Philadelphia basically replaced star defender Haason Reddick with Huff, who had spent the previous four seasons with the New York Jets. The result, however, has not been the same.

Even though Reddick has yet to suit up this season, it's safe to assume that Eagles fans would gladly take him back instead of Huff.

The former Memphis standout failed to make an impact for the second straight game. After only playing a disappointing 30 defensive snaps in Week 1, Huff didn't see his snap count increase. He had finished the Packers game with only one tackle and a PFF grade of 47.6. His performance against the Falcons' offensive line wasn't any better.

It wasn't just the offensive line that Huff struggled against. He was notably stonewalled by the Falcons tight end in the first drive of the third quarter. The Eagles struggled to put sufficient pressure on Kirk Cousins the whole game and Huff was one of the biggest offenders for the lack.

Huff similarly struggled against the run. He played 15 snaps in a run defense role according to PFF. In those possessions, the Falcons made an effort to go straight at him. He was only able to get one tackle out of those snaps.

If Huff can't improve his play over the next few weeks, he will be considered one of the most disappointing free-agent signings of the Howie Roseman era.
