3 Eagles Sean Desai Could Take With Him to New Rams Job

3. Zach Cunningham

The 29-year-old Cunningham was probably the Eagles’ best linebacker in 2023, which no one expected heading into the season.

The veteran linebacker played well in his one season in Philadelphia, recording 85 total tackles, four pass deflections, and two tackles for loss.

Cunningham was also adequate in pass defense, posting a 75.9 completion percentage allowed on targets and a 93.9 pass rating allowed when targeted. When the veteran linebacker missed a few games due to injury this past season, the Eagles’ defense suffered as teams picked them apart with tight ends and running backs out of the backfield.

Los Angeles is set at two of their linebacker spots with Jones IV and Young. But Cunningham would be an immediate upgrade over Rozeboom, who has been a core special teams player for most of his NFL career.

With Cunningham set to turn 30 in December, the Rams might see an opportunity to sign him to a lucrative one-year deal to play with an improving defense.
