3. Jalen Hurts

The star quarterback isn’t in danger of losing his job, but the Eagles fanbase isn’t happy with Hurts’ performance through the first four weeks.

The dual-threat signal-caller has completed 68.2 percent of his passes (career-high) for 930 yards, four touchdowns, and four interceptions. While it’s great to see his completion rate up from 2023, Hurts’ turnovers have been alarming.

The former second-round pick has also been credited with five fumbles and has produced three turnovers inside the red zone. There’s a belief that the young quarterback has regressed from where he was in 2022 –  the season the Eagles went to the Super Bowl.

It was also Hurts’ second-straight season under then-offensive coordinator Shane Steichen. This season, Hurts is under the direction of new OC Kellen Moore, who took over for Brian Johnson, who was let go in the offseason.

There was an expectation that Hurts and the Eagles’ offense would be one of the best in the league with the addition of Barkley and Moore. However, Hurts’ turnovers haven’t helped, along with the injuries on offense.

That said, it's still too early to write the book on Hurts as he still has 13 more games to get back on track and look like the quarterbacks from 2022. Eagles fans hope Hurts limits the turnovers and hits on explosive plays in the passing game.
