3. Fred Johnson, OT

We'll have to wait and see what's going to be happening with Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson ahead of this game against the Buccaneers, but Johnson went down in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints with a concussion and his status for Week 4 is going to be up in the air as a result.

The Eagles always invest heavily in the offensive line and they've got good depth there, as we didn't see that unit really skip a beat even after losing both Mekhi Becton and Lane Johnson against the Saints.

Tyler Steen, a former third-round pick, was able to step in for Becton, and Fred Johnson stepped in for Lane Johnson. Fred hadn't played much since 2021 and actually noted that he nearly cried for joy on the sideline after Saquon Barkley scored a touchdown behind his blocking.

"After that touchdown to Saquon, I almost cried on the sideline. I ain’t going to lie. I got emotional. I got really emotional because I thought I’d never be back in action. Everybody knows some of my story. It’s just been a long time coming. When I seen him running to score, I got hype, real hype. I was just grateful for the moment. I’m ready to go back out and do it again."

Fred Johnson

Players like Johnson are the types you can't help but root for to succeed. And he's got a golden opportunity before him if he gets a chance to play against the Bucs, whose pass rush was shut out last week against Denver. Johnson would have to be licking his chops for that matchup.
