2. Jahan Dotson, Wide Receiver

The Philadelphia Eagles were praised at the time of roster cuts for striking a deal with a division rival to bring Jahan Dotson back to the state where he dominated at the collegiate level and became a first-round pick.

The Commanders' decision to give up on Dotson wasn't surprising, but their decision to send him to a division rival certainly was. Commanders GM Adam Peters probably told us all we needed to know when he agreed to make a deal like this, and it's safe to say that the acquisition of Dotson has not worked out overly well for the Eagles as a whole.

Dotson is getting his cardio in by running routes, but he's not making plays in the passing game. He's got a whopping three catches on five targets for 14 yards through three games this season. The worst part of it for the Eagles is the fact that AJ Brown has been out since Week 1 with an injury.

Even though Dotson is new to the offense, if the Eagles can't even count on him when Brown is out due to injury, what kind of value is he going to bring to this team at all? It's still extremely early, so he can't be written off completely, but Dotson is looking more like a first-round bust than he is a failure on the part of the Washington Commanders.

And this is really a shame to see because he flashed some big-time potential early in his career with Washington. The Eagles can only hope they are the ones to get him back on the right track, but things aren't trending in that direction.
