1. Parris Campbell, Wide Receiver

Parris Campbell was a decent return man for the Ohio State Buckeyes who developed into a major receiving threat by the end of his career. He had 584 yards and three touchdowns as a redshirt junior but that was just an appetizer compared to his final campaign in 2018.

That year, Campbell hauled in 90 passes for 1,063 yards with 12 touchdowns for the Buckeyes.

His talent as a receiver and special teams ability led to him being selected 59th overall by the Indianapolis Colts in 2019. He played there for four seasons but struggled with durability for the first three. Campbell appeared in just 15 games from 2019 through 2021 but finally stayed healthy in 2022. He was able to show why the Colts believed in him that season as he had 63 receptions for 623 yards and three touchdowns. His yards per reception left something to be desired but the quarterback play was far from elite.

Campbell left in free agency, signing with the New York Giants. He had a disappointing season with just 20 receptions for 104 yards and no touchdowns while missing five games. He did run eight kickoffs back for 191 yards but was still quiet overall.

Looking for another fresh start, he signed with Philadelphia this offseason. Since his arrival, the Eagles added two more wideouts capable of playing in the slot. On Day 3 of the draft, they selected Ainias Smith from Texas A&M and Johnny Wilson from Florida State.

Smith looks the part of a slot receiver at 5-10 and 190 pounds and had 53 catches for 795 yards in 2023 with two touchdowns. Wilson is a massive player at 6-7 and 235 pounds but played best when used as a power slot. He had 84 catches for 1,514 yards and seven touchdowns over the past two years with FSU.

Campbell will be given every opportunity to make this roster but these two rookies could have him on the bubble already.
