2. James Bradberry, CB

The writing has been on the wall for a while for James Bradberry. The 30-year-old struggled immensely in coverage last year, allowing a 108.6 passer rating with 12.3 yards per reception. He also finished with a 54.7 coverage grade per PFF.

His on-field struggles led to the Eagles taking both Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in the first two rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Bradberry was seen taking reps at safety but ended up getting hurt in minicamp. The Eagles also had Isaiah Rodgers reinstated, joining a long list of corners.

Avonte Maddox, Kelee Ringo, Mitchell, and DeJean were all making plays throughout practice. The better these younger CBs look, the more likely Bradberry will be gone in the next couple of weeks.

3. Nakobe Dean, LB

The Eagles took linebacker Nakobe Dean in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He was selected to be an impactful force in the middle of the field but that hasn't been the case for him. In 2023, his year was cut short after he suffered a Lisfranc injury.

Even though he's been in the NFL for two seasons, he's only started in four games for Philly and failed to be a threat. Dean has registered 43 total tackles and three tackles for loss in his career.

GM Howie Roseman wasn't confident in his linebacker core so he signed Devin White and Zack Baun in the offseason to bolster that unit.

The coaches decided to roll with those two guys on the first team thus far. The Eagles also drafted Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the fifth round.

Dean needs to have a productive training camp in a few weeks to lock down his roster spot. If not, he may be looking to work elsewhere in 2024.
