3 Eagles Most Likely to Be Traded Before Roster Cutdown Day

These 3 players could wind up being on the trading block as the Philadelphia Eagles cut their roster down.

Two games of the preseason are in the books for the Philadelphia Eagles. That means just one game remains as they host the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, August 24.

For the most part, the Eagles know which players will be on their 53-man roster. Of course, injuries can change things and we've seen that take place recently with Tyler Steen. But for the most part, there are only a few battles for roster spots left.

With that being the case, these three players have enough talent to play in the league which is why Philly might be willing to send them elsewhere in a trade. That would be preferable to releasing them and receiving nothing in return.

3. Joseph Ngata, Wide Receiver

While he never truly took off at Clemson, Joseph Ngata was seen as a potential matchup nightmare at wide receiver. Standing 6-foot-3 and 217 pounds (with 4.54 speed), Ngata had the size to give defensive backs fits.

He was signed as an undrafted free agent last year by the Eagles and turned heads throughout training camp. He still wasn't able to make the roster, however, and spent his rookie campaign on the practice squad.

This year, he wasn't drawing much attention in camp and failed to haul in a pass on three targets against Baltimore. He then turned it around against New England and reminded everyone why he drew so much buzz in the past. Ngata had 88 yards on five receptions, including a 28-yarder.

There's far too much depth for him to make the roster this season but he's shown enough the Eagles could try and land a draft pick if they were to put him on the block.
