3. Grant Calcaterra

The Eagles took Calcaterra in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, hoping that he could become the team’s No. 2 tight end. However, that hasn’t been the case as Philadelphia has leaned more toward Jack Stoll, who provides more of a blocking element at tight end.

Calcaterra, who was one of the better tight ends in college football, dealt with concussions while at Oklahoma, forcing him to retire for a year before coming back in 2021 to play at SMU. He has upside as a pass catcher, but that hasn’t shown itself with the Eagles.

In 30 regular season games with the Eagles, Calcaterra has nine receptions (13 targets) for 120 yards and zero touchdowns. This season, the former Oklahoma and SMU tight end only played 10.3% of offensive snaps, while Stoll played 38.2%. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Eagles move on from Calcaterra and address the position in the NFL draft.
