With ex-offensive coordinator Brian Johnson joining the Washington Commanders' coaching staff, don't be surprised if he tries to lure these three Eagles to the NFC East rival.

Brian Johnson Could Lure Eagles TE Jack Stoll to the Commanders

The Commanders had a bottom-10 offense last season. A big part of that had to do with their lackluster run game, which averaged the seventh-fewest rushing yards per game. Although often playing from behind had a lot to do with that abysmal production, it wouldn't hurt to improve their run-blocking situation this offseason.

If Johnson wants to prove the Commanders' run-blocking, he could try to entice free-agent tight end Jack Stoll to join the roster. While the 26-year-old veteran doesn't put up offensive numbers like Travis Kelce or Sam LaPorta, he's one of the best TEs when it comes to blocking.

His 63.6 PFF run-block grade ranked fifth-best among TEs who played at least 200 run-block downs in 2023. For reference, Cole Turner was the only Commanders TE with a better grade (68.3), however, he only played 52 run-block downs whereas Stoll played 259.

Even though the Commanders don't need Stoll, there's no denying that his presence would upgrade their run-block situation. That's why it shouldn't be surprising if Johnson tries to lure the ex-Cornhusker, too.
