Brian Johnson Could Lure Eagles WR Olamide Zaccheaus to the Commanders

The Commanders have a solid wide receiver room, boasting talented playmakers like Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, and Dyami Brown. Having said that, Curtis Samuel — the team's WR2 — is slated to become a free agent in March, opening up a spot on the roster.

If Johnson wants a familiar face in the WR room, look no further than Olamide Zaccheaus.

The former Virginia Cavalier is also a free agent this offseason and could look for a fresh start. Despite appearing in all 17 games with the Eagles this season, Zaccheaus barely made a mark, turning 10 catches into 164 yards and a pair of touchdowns. However, it can also be argued that the 26-year-old was underutilized given that his 16.4 yards per reception ranked No. 1 on the team.

Washington averaged the sixth-fewest yards per completion in 2023, so it's easy to see why Johnson would love to lure Zaccheaus — especially if he has a bigger role in mind for the wideout.
