2. Ray Davis, Kentucky

Davis is another running back on the smaller side at 5-foot-8 and 220 pounds but could be the perfect fit in the Eagles’ running back room. The former Temple and Vanderbilt transfer took off in his only year at Kentucky, rushing for 1,129 yards and 14 touchdowns on 199 carries.

He also excelled as a receiver out of the backfield, with 33 receptions for 323 yards and seven touchdowns.

One of Davis’ best games with the Wildcats happened against Florida in September, where he went off for 280 rushing yards and three scores on the ground on 26 carries. He also added a receiving touchdown.

The 2023 second-team All-SEC running back has good speed, which helps him pull away from defenders. Davis also holds his own in pass protection, which gives him another advantage in getting on the field as a rookie.

Unlike Gore Jr., most mock drafts project Davis to be selected in the fourth round, where the Eagles have one selection (No. 121 overall). If the Eagles hit on their first three picks in Rounds 1 and 2, they might take a chance on the former Temple running back.
