3. Sixers Will Have a Top-5 Scoring Bench

Heading into the All-Star break, the Sixers have one of the worst scoring benches in the NBA this season (28.6 points per game, 27th in the NBA). The only other teams struggling to score points with their benches are the Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, and Chicago Bulls.

Until Embiid returns from injury, Philadelphia will need their bench to step up in the second half. Philadelphia hopes Harris, De’Anthony Melton, Nicolas Batum, and Robert Covington will be healthy when action restarts late next week.

Harris and Batum will likely be back in the starting lineup. But Melton and Covington will provide some defense off the bench and make them better with Martin, Council IV, Payne, and maybe Lowry.

At the same time, Philadelphia might have a hard time getting into the top-5 as those teams are scoring 40 or more points per game. However, we are going with a bold prediction, right? After the James Harden trade, Sixers fans were excited about the depth the team had.

When everybody is healthy, plus with three new additions and improved play from Martin and Council, the Sixers could have the recipe to move up the Eastern Conference standings.
