10. Albert Okwuegbunam

Tight end Albert Okwuegbunam was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Eagles prior to the 2023 season beginning in exchange for a couple of late-round 2025 draft picks. Maybe the Eagles thought he would be a source of insurance and backup for Dallas Goedert, but that was certainly not the case.

Okwuegbunam played just four games for the Eagles in 2023, during the time Goedert was out with his injury. In those games, he was targeted just once with no catches. After Goedert returned, Okwuegbunam ended the year on the injured reserve list with a hamstring injury. He did not play in the playoff game.

The future of the tight end position in Philadelphia remains with Goedert. He made the differences the offense needed when he was on the field. When he was out, the Eagles hurt without him.

He will need someone to back him up and be part of two-end sets, but the Eagles should pursue a healthy, reliable option. They are more likely to keep Jack Stoll around than Okwuegbunam.

Okwuegbunam will likely need to sign on with a team in free agency and prove his worth in the preseason to make an NFL roster. Otherwise, maybe he can impress on a practice squad.
