6. Julian Okwara, DL

The Eagles have a ton of quality pass-rushers and Julian Okwara could be on the outside looking in as a result of the depth at the position. A 2020 third-round pick for the Lions, Okwara spent four years in Detroit before being signed by Philadelphia, but could wind up on the practice squad instead of the full 53-man unit.

Injuries have been a consistent problem throughout Okwara's four-year NFL career, playing in double-digit games just twice. He was one of the more promising defensive lineman prospects coming out of Notre Dame, becoming a team captain in 2019 and a Preseason Second-Team All-American before an injury cut his season short.

Okwara's best year at the professional level came in 2021 when he recorded 27 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and an interception in 13 contests.

Players of Okwara's caliber typically aren't cut candidates. It speaks to the excellent job Roseman and his staff have done at bolstering the defensive line that Okwara may be waived, and he'd be a priority add across the league.

The Eagles would almost certainly prefer to keep Okwara on the practice squad if he is released, and his performance this summer indicates he's still improving.

Health has always been his biggest question mark, but it's easy to see a world in which Okwara becomes a productive defender in the not-so-distant future.
