Another player who made a name for himself in the preseason is 2022 undrafted free agent Tristin McCollum. He stuck with the Eagles after being released by the Texans prior to the 2023 season and played in three games for Philadelphia last year, compiling six tackles in the process.

At six-foot-three, McCollum is a massive, physical player with the length to disrupt passing lanes and the strength to bottle up the run game. Fans saw those talents on display in the preseason, and McCollum could sneak onto the roster when it's all said and done.

He allowed 59 yards on nine targets for a 70.1 passer rating in those games. McCollum is seemingly battling veteran James Bradberry for a place on the roster, and Bradberry's experience likely gives him the nod in the end.

However, after Bradberry's struggles and C.J. Gardner-Johnson's injury history, McCollum is someone the Eagles will want to keep on the practice squad. His twin brother, Zyon, plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the family's football pedigree adds a layer to McCollum's story.

A star for Sam Houston in college, McCollum is one of the players Eagles fans should watch closely in the immediate aftermath of roster cuts. It wouldn't be surprising for another team to swoop him up if he is indeed cut, but it'd be shocking if he doesn't land on a practice squad somewhere.

Roseman should hope Philadelphia can keep his services, especially after the improvement he showed during the preseason.
