Opening Odds for Eagles vs. Commanders NFC Championship Game Give Philly Clear Advantage
By Jovan Alford
The Philadelphia Eagles will make their second trip to the NFC Championship Game in the last three seasons after defeating the Los Angeles Rams, 28-22 on Sunday in the divisional round.
It wasn’t a pretty game as both teams battled through the wintry conditions in Philadelphia, but thanks to the defense and Saquon Barkley, they are one game away from a potential trip to the Super Bowl.
The Eagles' defense forced two turnovers, sacked Rams QB Matt Stafford five times, and at the end found a way to get one last stop on LA's prolific offense. Meanwhile, Barkley showed why he's one of the best players in the league. The superstar running back had 205 rushing yards and two TDs on the ground.

The Eagles, who didn’t think they would be hosting the NFC title game when the NFL playoffs started earlier this month, will invite the Washington Commanders to Lincoln Financial Field for the right to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
After their thrilling win over the Rams, the Eagles have opened up 4.5-point favorites over the Commanders on FanDuel Sportsbook. The total for the game is currently set at over/under 47.5 points.
The two NFC East rivals split the two-game series during the regular season. Philadelphia won the first matchup by eight points (26-18) in Week 11 at Lincoln Financial Field, while Washington got revenge in Week 16, with an incredible 36-33 in Landover, MD.
Barkley went off against Washington’s defense, rushing for 150 and 146 yards, and scored two touchdowns a piece. However, the Commanders will try to slow Barkley down as they’re coming off an impressive 45-31 win over the Detroit Lions.
It will be interesting to see if the line moves throughout the week as star quarterback Jalen Hurts got banged up in the divisional round. Hurts’ lower-body injury and how he practices this week will play a huge role in next week’s title game.
