The Philadelphia Eagles have already left the rest of the league trying to ban a play they have mastered this year. Why not introduce a brand new wrinkle into the offense ahead of the 2025 season?
This is the approach that Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni appears to be bringing to the table as Philadelphia looks to defend its Super Bowl title. While the rest of the league failed in its efforts to have the "tush push" banned, that insanely successful play could just be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what opposing defenses will be faced with whenever they line up against the Eagles this season.
While he didn't go into any specifics, Sirianni floated the idea that he, offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, and starting quarterback Jalen Hurts have brainstormed some new wrinkles on offense, and those won't be introduced to the football world until the regular season kicks off, according to John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Nick Sirianni says they are working on some new wrinkles with the Eagles offense that opponents will not see until the start of the season.

Nick Sirianni Hints at Secret Plays the Eagles Are Hiding at Camp
Again, it is hard to know exactly what Sirianni is referring to with these comments. If we were to play the guessing game, however, it might be wise to look at what Kevin Patullo recently said about a dynamic playmaker on the outside for the Eagles.
"I think what he's shown too is you can move him around," Patullo said about fourth-year receiver Jahan Doton. "I don't know necessarily if we knew that when we first got him, but now he's in a spot where we can put him anywhere and we feel confident. So I think his game has grown tremendously from that standpoint.”
Given this is the same offensive brain trust that invented the "tush push," it wouldn't be surprising to see Sirianni, Patullo, and company invent new ways to get Dotson involved in the offense, given the quick burst he brings to the table.
There are also players like Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert to contend with on offense. Making any of those players more of a threat to opposing defenses than they currently are would only take the Eagles' offense to another level.
With the Dallas Cowboys coming to town for the regular season opener, it wouldn't be shocking to see their division rival get a first taste of these new offensive wrinkles.
