Nick Sirianni Accidentally Reveals Hidden Jalen Hurts Injury Before Week 10
The Philadelphia Eagles are red-hot as they enter Week 10. They've won four games in a row and have an NFC East showdown against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
They are seeking to keep the positive momentum rolling and got some good news regarding Dallas Goedert, who is expected to return from his hamstring injury.
While that was a great development, head coach Nick Sirianni revealed that quarterback Jalen Hurts is dealing with an ankle injury.
Eagles News: Nick Sirianni Hints That Jalen Hurts Is Dealing With Ankle Injury
During a presser on Friday, Siranni was asked why Hurts was given a rest day on Wednesday, as that isn't something that has been done with Hurts throughout his tenure in Philly.
Siranni responded and said, "It was on the injury report dealing with the ankle. Just making sure we're precautious with everything."
Another reporter answered and said that Hurts wasn't on the injury report with an ankle injury. Eagles PR jumped in and told Siranni it was a rest day.
Then Siranni tried to recant his statement, saying, "It was the rest. Yeah, sorry. I thought you were talking about something else."
Hurts was back at Friday's practice but no one knew that he was dealing with an ankle injury. It looks like Philadelphia was trying to keep this under wraps and the head coach of the team ended up leaking it.
When asked about his rest day on Wednesday, Hurts said, "I just do what I'm told."
We'll have to see if this impacts Hurts' play on Sunday, as he's scored 12 total touchdowns with zero turnovers during the Eagles' four-game win streak.
